After cutting back on routes and flights airfares are expected to raise.

As the demand for airline tickets is still lower than last year, the airlines are forced to compensate this with increased fares.

According to IATA (International Air Transport Association) who represents 230+ scheduled airlines worldwide, in August 2009 air travel was 1.1% less than in the same month of 2008. To stay flying international airfares are expecting to rise with 6% while domestic fares probably will increase 7% within the next future.
